When we head out onto the canal, we never know what treasures we might find. A secret message in a bottle? A century-old diary? A rolex? A skateboard? Something antique or very useful?

Over the last two weeks of June, groups of friends and family, teams from de Hoge Rielen , N-Brussel , BE CULTURE , N-side, UNIQLO Europe and Nestlé grabbed their paddles and set off on a trash treasure hunt on the canal.

What did they find? Well… we won’t be posting their treasures here. Some secrets stay with the crew. But along with the treasures, they also found plenty of trash, plastic bottles, cans, plastic bags, … and made sure to fish them out so they wouldn’t end up polluting the canal any further!
