SAY NO TO PLASTIC, as-tu déjà essayé ?
SAY NO TO PLASTIC – in the bathroom. The best way to solve the waste problem is by focusing on waste REDUCTION instead of recycling. So many of our daily items can easily be replaced by a non-plastic or reusable version. Starting in the bathroom, did you ever try a solid shampoo bar for example?
Here you can find a list of some shops in Brussels where you can find the different items. It is a very limited list, there are many more shops. We didn’t contact any of the shops, it’s not publicity, see it as a GUIDE if you need one.

SAY NO TO PLASTIC – in the house. Reducing plastic consumption is part of a bigger philosophy: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Buy less plastic objects, buy better quality, clothes for example, buy things that you can reuse and repair instead of buying new, buy second-hand.
If something needs repairing you can go to one of the Repair cafes, check the schedule on:
* www.Repairtogether.be
You can rent more than you think. Ever thought about renting a drilling machine you use once a year instead of buying one? This, and so much more is available at Tournevie in Anderlecht and Ixelles:
* Tournevie
If you need construction material, second-hand should be your first thought. At Rotor in Anderlecht you can find it all:
* Rotor Deconstruction
There are multiple eco-friendly ways of doing laundry, soap nuts are one of them. In Brussels, soap nuts can be found at DI!
SAY NO TO PLASTIC – out and about. Did you ever wonder whether you are not exagerating when refusing a plastic straw at the bar or a plastic bag at the shop or any other plastic object? Well, you are not, plastic will keep on coming to you in all sorts of forms, and it will take some effort to keep on resisting.
You can make it easier for yourself by drinking tap water in a reusable bottle, bringing your own shopping bag and reusable coffee cup. Starting with these little gestures, you will want to take your resistance to the next level and others will follow you!
